About Us
The Page Mason School of Dance & Drama began life in 1963 with a handful of students who wanted to learn Ballet with Gillian Page and Ballroom with Jean Mason.
At first classes were held at Hilderstone until the School became big enough and in 1977 the Callis Court premises was purchased.
As the School expanded it was necessary to extend and add a purpose built Modern dance studio over the existing playground of the former Thanet School House.
Together with this expansion, we added to our curriculum considerably with highly qualified staff offering a full range of Theatre skills including: Three methods of Classical Ballet (I.S.T.D. Vanganova and Cecchetti); Modern Theatre Dance, Tap, Street; Spanish National Dance (Flamenco and Regional); Singing, Musical Theatre, Progressing Ballet Technique and Acrobatic Arts.
Children can begin their dancing at 18 months old and it is the purpose of the School to provide training for leisure, pleasure and for those students who wish to enter the Theatre world as professionals or eventually train to become a qualified teacher.
Above all Page Masons is and has always been a place that brings students together of all ages to share their passions for the Arts no matter where those passions take them in life. We are a very close team with the same love and passion for Dance and teaching and we are proud to say that everyone who joins our school is and feels a part of our Page Mason family.
